Positive: Shiba Inn is a fantastic choice for a stay in Tokyo. It’s located in a quiet, well-connected neighborhood, away from the typical tourist crowds, but still close to major attractions like Tokyo Tower and TeamLab. Shinagawa Station, which connects to the Shinkansen network, is also nearby. Maki and Richard, the new owners, are incredibly kind and welcoming. They make sure you feel truly special during your stay, treat guests individually, and are happy to help with anything. The room was surprisingly spacious for Tokyo standards. The beds are large, the mattresses are comfortable, and the bedding is fresh and pleasantly scented. The room has a fully equipped kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine and microwave. The area around the hotel has many local shops and authentic Japanese restaurants, perfect for anyone wanting to experience local life. If you want to do some bigger shopping without crowds, there’s a shopping mall on Odaiba, just 25 minutes away on a single metro line. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a more local and relaxed Tokyo experience. We could go on listing the advantages of this place – as frequent travelers, it’s been a long time since we experienced such a warm and guest-focused approach.
