Positive: The house was a house. It had rooms, parking, a nice yard. Some of the bathroom floors were heated. It had the number of rooms promised. One out of the two fireplaces worked. Half of the hockey table worked. The hot tub was hot on half of the days. Overall, it was half good.

Negative: We arrived the day after a snowstorm. The roads had been cleared, and the driveways of the houses around us, but not this house. There was no shovel available in the garage. We had to go to the local store and buy a shovel ourselves and clear the driveway enough to get a 4x4 vehicle up it. One 2 wheel drive vehicle had to park in a public parking lot a half mile away and walk. The other was able to get half way up the driveway. When we contacted local property management on our arrival on Saturday afternoon, they said they were sending someone with a shovel. When we left on Wednesday, their person with a shovel still had not arrived. They also said they would send someone to clear the driveway. They did not. We had to pay a local out of pocket to clear the driveway so that we could leave the house and go skiing on our ski trip. Every time we messaged with the property manager through the app we got a response from what appeared to be an AI-generated name, assuring us that they understood our frustration and that they would provide an update soon. We left 2 days ago, and I still have not received a substantive update on when the snow will be cleared from the driveway. The property itself is weird. The primary bedroom en suite bath is not separated from the room by a door. Even the toilet is not enclosed, which makes for a very intimate experience for anyone sharing that room. And the toilet lid does not stay up on its own - making it a challenge for the men. The fireplace in the primary bedroom/bathroom did not work. In the kitchen, the dishwasher and beverage fridge are not actually attached to anything, and come out from under the cupboards when you open them. Lightbulbs throughout the house are burnt out and not replaced. There is an air hockey table, but only half of it has air. The hot tub worked the first couple days, but did not get hot after that. The strangest thing is the completely inaccessible loft bed in the main level bedroom.

Summary: We had fun. The house is weird.
