Summary: Booked this house July 1 - 8. Paid a premium rate due to the holiday week. Pro: Location - short walk to the beach, close to Eagle Rock, and close to a couple of trails. Cons: The house smelled awful upon entry. The smell was coming from the garage and made the lower level unlivable. There are three bedrooms. The main bed in the bunkroom is solid as a rock. My guests could not sleep on it so they pulled out the trundle under the bed and it was covered in mouse poop and had a syrnige on it!!! We tried the pullout couch and it too was full of mouse poop and food. We had to relocate two of our guests until the place could be cleaned the next day. Additionally, they left us with one washcloth and one hand towel total for three bathrooms. No dishwasher or laundry detergent was provided. General cleanliness was very poor throughout. I left two voicemails and an email for the property manager with no response. Finally, I chatted online with VRBO, and they were able to connect us. In the afternoon on the second day, a cleaning crew came and cleaned up the bunk room, and a different crew came and removed the refrigerator from the garage. While I have a lot more cons to share, the short story is this place is poorly cleaned and not stocked well for the price charged. There are better places especially for the price.
