High-speed wifi, great hiking/wineries/tasting rooms/restaurants within 10 minute drive plus full kitchen & grill for meals at home. Located in Kenwood - midway between Sonoma and Santa Rosa. One hour drive from San Francisco, with easy access to coast, Napa, Russian River & Healdsburg.

The space:
The Creekside Cottage is an 860 sq. ft. home with a separate driveway and entrance from a private creekside patio with outdoor dining area for 4 and a gas grill. Glass double doors open to the shared pool area. The open-plan great room has a spacious seating area with a 50-inch SMART TV and dining area for 4. The kitchen has full-size refrigerator, brand new electric range/oven and microwave oven and an island for extra prep space. It is fully outfitted with cookware, dishes, glassware, flatware and utensils. The large, separate bedroom has a queen-sized bed, with individual nightstands with reading lamps. There is an additional lounge seating area which could be outfitted with a table/desk if needed. Dedicated high-speed wifi network. We provide sheets, seasonal duvets, pillows, blankets and towels. There are large closets and an en-suite bath with a tub-shower combination.

We supply a starter pack of essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and cleaning supplies. We do not replenish these items for long-term stays. You should plan to look at what is supplied when you arrive and then make plans to acquire what you will need for the remainder of your stay.

We are onsite hosts and this is a fully permitted vacation rental that we are now making available for longer stays. There is another cottage on the property which may be rented. A $250 cleaning fee is charged per long stay. We pay for cable, internet, trash, water, septic and utilities. Sonoma County TOT #1402N.

You have a private patio, and access to the shared pool area in season.

Other things to note:
The grounds of the property are spacious, but they are a shared space. There is another cottage on the property which may be rented. We generally give everyone their space, and ask that our guests do the same. You may find us out in garden or enjoying a meal on our patio.

There is a narrow driveway with a parking area that requires 3-point turn and backing in. There is room for one vehicle for this cottage.

Daily housekeeping is not included. There is a washer and dryer available in separate laundry room. Please note we are experiencing a drought in California and we are on a private well and septic system. There may be some limitations on using the laundry based on the day's water usage.

Cell phone service is good with most carriers.

The pool water temperature is dependent on hours of sunshine and general air temperature. Generally, the swim season is May - October.

The hot tub is not available.

We are unable to provide refunds or compensation to guests if you need to cancel outside the timeframe of our cancellation policy. We encourage you to carry travel/personal liability insurance that covers any related personal injury, injury to others, damage or loss of personal property, and any foreseen or unforeseen event* that may cause your stay to be shortened or any loss whatsoever to be incurred. It is required that you read, understand, acknowledge and agree to all of the listing rules, instructions, and requirements that are provided in this listing before you book.

* Our local power utility, PG&E, has informed us that if elevated weather conditions, including potential fire risk, threaten a portion of the electric system serving our community, it will be necessary for them to turn off electricity in the interest of public safety. This is called a Public Safety Power Shutoff. We are not responsible for these temporary shutoffs, and cannot provide alternate accommodations should this occur.
We have a portable backup generator to operate the property's well pump and septic system for a few hours each day to provide water flow to cottage.

In the event of an evacuation emergency: Written evacuation instructions identifying the evacuation zone and evacuation route are posted within the vacation rental. Guests must leave the property when a Voluntary Evacuation Order is issued for the evacuation zone, per county ordinance.
