The Cedar Creek Cabin is a family friendly, waterfront property located on Lake 2 at the Village of Cedar Creek, Nebraska. It was remodeled in 2020 and updated with new furnishings in May 2023. The home sits on approximately 1.5 acres of serene beachfront property that embraces all the water recreation of a private no wake lake. The Mid-Century split entry home has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 car garage, an open floor plan on both upper and lower level. Main level includes the master bed & bath, 2nd bedroom, 3rd bedroom/laundry room, main bath, and no walls hold back this kitchen, dining, and great room. The finished lower level includes the 4th bedroom, bath, and a family room walk out. Plenty of windows to embrace the lake views, not to mention taking in all the wildlife. If outdoor living is your family’s desire, then this is your place.
The property was designed for large families or groups by comfortably sleeping 10 adults if some don’t mind sharing a room. Then up to 16 if you have a family or group with a combination of adults and kids. We feel it is ideal for multiple families wanting to spend their vacation together chilling. Or if Grandma and Grandpa want to host a family getaway with their big and little kiddos. Why not leave the kids behind for a great couples retreat or girls weekend to just sit, relax, and catch up.
We do allow small family or group events on a case by case basis. Out of respect for our neighbors the gathering would need to be “family friendly” and “PG rated” in nature. Management has installed a video doorbell located at the street side front door of the property. This device also has two way audio and motion capabilities that we hope will provide our guests a sense of security as well as help us manage check ins/outs and scheduled maintenance or delivery. We do ask that this device be free from tampering or obstructions during your stay to prevent security checks to the property.
What your family or group will find walking around in the Village of Cedar Creek, are great views of multiple lakes, the Platte River, several parks to sit on a bench to watch the birds, deer, or a little league ball game. If there is a day your family or group is looking for lunch, dinner, or a drink then head to the Cedar Creek Inn, also known to the locals as CCI. They are a welcoming community, just tell them your name and you’ll end up with a new friend. And just across the street is a catering company BW Bistro who has takeout and delivery available for pizza, wings, and much more.
The Village of Cedar Creek is found in Cass County which offers several rural event venues such as Lilac Hill, Rock Hill, Sparks Barn, Slattery Vintage Estates, and Cass County Event Center. So if you’re looking for a place to stay after having or attending your event then this property is just a short country road away. These facilities are perfect for a family wedding, family reunion, or any type of family gathering.
Louisville, Nebraska is located about 10 minutes west of Village of Cedar Creek. It has a downtown area on Main St with boutiques, ice cream, food market, bar, restaurant, cigars, and liquor. They have just about anything your family or group would be interested in.
Springfield, Nebraska is just another 10 minutes north of Louisville and has a few boutiques, restaurants, and a great vineyard to watch the sunset, Soaring Wings. Plattsmouth, Nebraska is in the opposite direction just 15 minutes east of the property. It is a little bigger than Louisville and Springfield. Your family or group will find your closest full scale grocery store, HyVee. This town also gives you more choices of fast food, restaurants, and retail.
The City of Omaha, Nebraska is only about 30 minutes away from the property. The city offers all the amenities any metropolitan area has to offer to any type of family or group.
