Summary: When checking in I was charged for a new reservation, when I already had a reservation. She charged me twice and when she realized the mistake she made me contact hotels.com to fix the problem while I was out at dinner. Hotels.com text message system was great and easy to fix the double charge. But the whole thing could have been avoided if the clerk at the Econo lodge would have just asked or looked at her reservations instead of just assuming I was just a walk in. Also having to call a number to get someone to the front desk to check in would decrease the confusion the clerk had
