Located only 21 minutes from the Southern Entrance of Yosemite National Park, 5 minutes from Bass Lake, and 8 minutes from local Supermarkets, this beautiful mountain sanctuary features all the comforts of home while immersing guests in the unparalleled beauty of the Yosemite area.
Beautiful redwood, bass, pine, hickory, oak, acacia, cherry, pecan, mahogany, ipe, and cedar wood-grains are built into the character of the house and add a unique charm to over 2100 square feet (195 square meters) of living space illuminated by natural light. The house is shaded by mature live oak and cedar trees which add to the beautiful surrounding scenery.
This house is the perfect basecamp for those who want modern conveniences with rural charm. The kitchen is big enough for 4 people to cook in and decked out with modern appliances, including a True European Convection Smart Oven, Induction Cooktop, Cyclonic Inverter Microwave, Coffee Maker & Grinder, Latte Foamer, Toaster Oven, chef-quality Food Processor, and a large variety of cooking utensils. I also have a wide variety of spices that I make available for all to use. There is also a Yoder YS480S Competition Smoker Grill on the lower deck, which has direct flame wood grilling capabilities for the best tasting BBQ possible.
Every bathroom has petrified wood sinks; literally million-year-old wood. There are modern toilets in every bathroom with a warm-water bidet available as well. And every shower has modern fixtures.
There are two connected ipe decks on the backside of the house where you can share a nice cup of coffee or enjoy a meal with a view of downtown Oakhurst and Deadwood Mountain. The upper ipe deck is big enough for at least 6 people to do stretches/yoga. Bring some mats or lay down one of the throw blankets that I have available and you can get in some morning stretches/yoga.
If you happen to have an RV (campervan), there is one parking space with easy access available on the property; approximately 9 ft (2.7 m) wide and 12 ft (3.7 m) of clearance.
In the summer, the house stays cool with Central A/C and ceiling fans in every room.
In the winter, there are heated floors in every room with their own separate thermostats and a Harman wood pellet stove in the living room. Central Heating is also available.
