Located at the end of a private lane, the property is completely fenced and gated with graceful oak trees everywhere. The houses back Toro Regional Park with over 5,595 acres of protected hills and trails for hiking and mountain biking (bring your own bike) with spectacular bay views at the top. There are amazing wildflowers that cover the hillsides in the springtime, and the lupine following the winter rains are an amazing natural wonder. Wildlife abounds! Families of quail love to scamper across the landscaped grounds; deer and wild turkeys are often visible along the entry lane; sometimes there is an occasional skunk or fox. In fact, two baby fox were born under the back deck of the main house last summer.
The main house can sleep 6 with 1 king bed, 2 queen beds and a sofa in the M bedroom that makes into a twin bed. There are 2 full baths.
The completely private and detached carriage house down from the main house can sleep 4 with 1 king bed downstairs, 1 full bed upstairs, and a sofa in the combined living room, kitchen, & dining area that can be converted to a bed. There is 1 full bath downstairs.

The main house has a truly gourmet kitchen with concrete countertops and a commercial Viking gas cooktop that is guaranteed to knock your socks off! You'll find cooking to be pleasurable and easy. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to create a gourmet meal. There are spices galore, coffee maker, and even a 4 slice toaster! The best part? The kitchen opens into the entertainment room and the dining room, so that everyone can be together and participate without feeling the least bit crowded. The B&B Italia table in the dining room seats 8-10 easily, and there are 4 barstools nestled around the kitchen island counter for additional seating. There is a cozy library filled with books, and there is a secret loft area for children to enjoy. Outdoors is a large hot tub that seats 4-6. The firepit on the back deck will extend your day well into the evening hours.
The carriage house has a combined living room, kitchen, & dining area. The bistro dining table seats up to 4. There is another propane BBQ at this house & an additional hot tub that seats 3 and sides a greenbelt where you can often spot deer and other wildlife. There is a patio with outdoor furniture for relaxing.
Bedrooms in both houses are furnished with wonderful designer sheets, down comforters, and towels. Large towels provided for the hot tubs.
There are comfortable seating areas all over the property in park-like gardens with numerous tables, umbrellas, & adirondack rockers. The gardens invite you to stay home, relax, read and enjoy a wonderful BBQ. Enjoy all the excellent patios and decks and sit on the upper stone patio in the late afternoon sun with views of the valley & hillsides around you. Take a hiking trails from the house with views of Monterey Bay.
A short drive puts you at any of several beaches and other attractions (wine tasting rooms, the Aquarium, Point Lobos, Big Sur, Carmel, Steinbeck House, Cannery Row, agricultural fields and vineyards, old California missions, the Laguna Seca Raceway, a plethora of restaurants, and numerous other activities). Return to the house for dining on the deck, getting into the hot tub, and enjoying the sunset. A TRULY UNIQUE HOUSE IN A VERY UNIQUE SETTING.
